Have Your Say

Welcome to Dr Shahs & Talpur Surgery at Hanford Health Centre

The staff and doctors and nurses at the practice wish our patients to know that your health and well-being is our priority and we are here to help you to the best of our means.  We do receive unfair comments and behaviour towards staff that are trying to help in the best way possible whilst still having to abide by guidance for everyone's safety during these unprecedented times.

For the ongoing duration the practice has cancelled online appointment booking to control triage and safety.

Telephone consultations remain in place at our surgery for your safety, please explain your problem to our Patient Care Navigators who will book you an appropriate appointment. Telephone consultations with the GP will efficiently resolve your problem or triage you should you be required to be seen face to face; you may be invited to have a video consultation which requires your consent before commencing.

All prescriptions are now being sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy (EPS). Please ensure you nominate an appropriate pharmacy for prescription collection or delivery or this will be designated for you.

We are suggesting that you obtain your online access for ordering of prescriptions. Please use either Patient Access or download the NHS App. To obtain a password and linkage key, your ID is required, again please contact reception as to how we can obtain this without you needing to present at the surgery.

Also, to be aware that if having any urgent medication such as antibiotics as an example, that you request the doctor issuing the medication does so to an alternative pharmacy and not a nominated one that only posts your medications as this will sufficiently delay receiving any urgent medication required.

Your Health in Safe Hands

The team are here to provide all patients with a professional and caring healthcare experience in friendly and personal surroundings. With discretion and confidentiality guaranteed your welfare is safe, secure and in good hands.

All patients are allocated an accountable named GP. If you wish to know the name of your accountable GP, please ask at reception. Patients still have a choice of which GP they see but we do ask for continuity of care if possible.

The health centre has access for both wheelchairs and pushchairs and free onsite parking. REMEMBER TO ENTER YOUR CAR REGISTRATION WHEN USING THE CENTRE.
